The first Sunbeam race organised by the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club took place at 1415 on Friday June 13th 1924, postponed from Wednesday 11th when racing had not been possible. Seven boats participated . (Note that at the time RCYC racing was not geared to the needs of working members!)
