Falmouth Sailing Week

In its modern form Falmouth Sailing Week dates from 1950 but there are records of sailing regattas in Falmouth as long ago as 1837.  The week is a co-operative venture by the six local sailing and yacht clubs in the guise of the Port of Falmouth Sailing Association.  Racing takes place from Sunday to Saturday on two course areas – Falmouth Bay (offshore yachts) and the Fal Estuary (dayboats).  Sunbeams are prominent amongst the traditional classes taking part.

The 2021 dates are Sunday 8th to Saturday 14th August.

Sunbeams are scheduled to sail one afternoon race per day from Sunday to Wednesday, then two back-to-back races per day on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Sunday to Wednesday will be standalone days; the final three days will be scored as the Falmouth Sailing Week series.

The Notice of Race will be available on the Falmouth Week website from the end of January, and the on-line entry system will go live at the beginning of April.
